The rest of Term 3 was really marked by two key school events - aChinese storytelling contest and a musical production on the last day of the term. It is always wonderful when there is ownership and seeing how staff and students come together to create an unforgettable experience. So thankful for such a great team to work with.
Also hosted a good friend and also my brother and my dad for their first visit to Bandung.
I also had to see the doctor in Bandung for the first time.
In the midst of all the excitement, time sure flies by.
An iPad lesson in action. Students retelling an Indonesian folk tale with their own visuals. It has been a slow and interesting journey with the teachers in getting them to think of how such tech can enhance learning. By using Lesson Study, we have been able to develop professional as a learning community. The learning is clearly most powerful when the learners are involved in creating and not merely consuming. Preschool teachers having an "echo" session to share what they have learnt at a national conference they attended. At this same conference, our senior teacher was able to share about the project work we did. Very proud of the creative and loving teachers who are ever ready to learn and do even better for the children. (I had to miss this conference because I was ill and had to rest.)
