In the past 2 weeks, it was lovely catching up with 2 couples from Singapore who were taking a holiday in Bandung. It was also the last few days of CNY and there was the volcanic eruption in East Java. So, in the midst of the routine of school, which has its share of dramatic moments, are these dashes of colourful moments.
Framed in time for the annual Chinese Storytelling Contest. This was an object lesson about treasuring our differences. Each student and staff was given a jigsaw piece and later we attempted to piece it together. Some pieces didn't make it back. We voted to frame it anyway. The mirror behind to show the signature on each piece. Rather appropriately, a missing piece was recently discovered and it was held by someone who has been rather disconnected from the community.

First ever CNY spent abroad - in Indonesia to be exact.. There are some signs of festivities at the mall and definitely in school. Headed to Bogor over the long weekend to visit the famous Botanic Garden. Stayed overnight and on the way back, went to Taman Safari. Simple and enjoyable trip. |
