Looking back at the week's photos, I saw some of the creative side of my stay in Bandung.
This week back in Bandung, after a week back home, has been a relatively slower one. The Lebaran holidays is when most businesses take their annual break. While generally quieter, the market and shopping areas were still a hive of activity. I took some walks along the streets and it was nice to see the bustle and colours at close range. Back in school on Thursday and Friday, we embarked on our first ever distance eLearning. The teachers have spent mush effort preparing for this and their enthusiasm and creativity have been inspiring. We were all excited in being able to interact with the students and they with each other via technology as we learn together. A month has very quickly gone by - and what am action-packed one it has been. At work, I have become more familiar with the routines and my truly amazing colleagues have also taken to the new initiatives with much zeal and creativity. This includes eLearning and the use of iPad. I also had the chance to speak to quite a few students and every encounter has been a delight. At home, while finishing touches seem to take a very long while to complete, I have settled in nicely enough. Now that there is a term and Lebaran break, I am back in Singapore for a week. |
