This weekend I went to a craft fair in Jakarta. It took 3 hours getting there and another 3-hour drive back to Bandung. I thoroughly enjoyed the few hours at the fair.
Many of these crafters are illustrators who have turned what they drew into products of some kind. The styles were as varied as they were similar. Each table was an invitation to take a close look.
There were also workshops for clay, screen-printing and calligraphy. Also film screenings. Too bad I didn't have time for these.
The venue was rather intriguing. They took over a yet to be occupied space in a new mega mall. So, while it was somehow raw and make-shift, it was conveniently located in a rather posh locale.
I enjoyed the creativity.
Creating was also what I think lifted my spirit throughout this past month. I experimented more with the Paper53 app and was also more active on Instagram.
Come to think of it, I have always enjoyed creating and also seeing the creativity of others, not just in this past month.
